If we've written to you about a website for your business, this page explains what we know about you, where it came from, and how to make us stop.
Xtropic Limited, registered in England and Wales, company no. 16692884. Registered office: 4.33b Nash House, Old Oak Lane, London NW10 6FF. Correspondence address: 83 Lulworth, Wrotham Road, NW1 9ST. Contact: [email protected].
We don't hold personal home addresses, personal phone numbers or anything that isn't already public.
Public sources only: business directories, map listings, Companies House, your own social media pages and public review sites.
To build a preview website for your business and to write to you once about it. We rely on our legitimate interest in offering our services to businesses, and we've kept it to the minimum needed: one letter, and no email unless your business is a registered company that publishes a business email address.
We don't sell or share your details with anyone else.
Your preview is unlisted and hidden from search engines, but anyone who has its link can view it. It shows only public details about your business, such as its name, address, phone number, opening hours and what you sell, and it carries a banner saying it was made by Xtropic and isn't your official website. It doesn't name you or quote your customers' reviews. Ask us and we'll take it down within 3 days.
We count how many times each preview is opened, using Cloudflare's own server records (the country and device type of each visit and when it happened). We don't record who you are, and we don't use cookies.
Some shops we work with use our AI receptionist to deal with calls they can't answer. In that case the shop decides how your details are used, and we handle them on its behalf. Questions about your call can go to the shop or to us.
We handle your phone number, the time of the call, what you say or type to the assistant, and any message, booking or order you leave. We don't keep a recording of the call audio, only the written transcript. The shop sees the messages, bookings and orders, and the transcript of your call. We delete transcripts and chat messages after 90 days, unless the shop needs a booking or order record for longer.
The companies that help us run it are Twilio (phone number and texts), Deepgram (turning speech into text), Cartesia (the assistant's voice) and Anthropic (Claude, the AI that writes the replies). All four may process data in the United States.
Cloudflare, Google and xAI may process some data in the United States, including your device's IP address when you visit our websites. Twilio, Deepgram, Cartesia and Anthropic process the AI receptionist's data in the United States. Mistral processes data in the EU. Where data leaves the UK, it is protected by safeguards recognised under UK law, such as the UK–US data bridge, standard contractual clauses or the UK's recognition of EU data protection.
Our automated assistant's AI providers are in the United States (xAI, Google, OpenAI and OpenRouter) and France (Mistral). LLM7 is operated in the UK and can pass requests on to models made by companies including Zhipu AI, DeepSeek and MiniMax in China.
If you don't reply, we delete your details and take your preview offline 12 months after our last contact with you. If we have never contacted you, we delete them 12 months after we first added you. If you ask us to stop, we stop contacting you straight away. We delete your details and take your preview offline within 3 days, keeping only a note that you've opted out so we never contact you again.
You can object to us using your details at any time, and we'll stop. You can also ask to see, correct or delete what we hold. Email [email protected] — the word “unsubscribe” is enough.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your details, please tell us first at [email protected] and we'll look into it and reply. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
This site doesn't use cookies or tracking. Cloudflare, which hosts this site and our previews, receives your IP address and basic details of each request so it can deliver pages and protect the sites from attacks; we rely on our legitimate interest in running secure websites. The site also loads its fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google's servers when you visit.
